5 Effective Home Remedies for Sinus Pain Relief

3. Steam

Aside from humidifiers, consider taking a hot bath or shower. Or just let the hot water run and stand next to it, breathing in the vapors.

4. Warm Towel

Placing a warm, moist towel over your face is another helpful way to inhale water vapor. Plus, the relaxing warmth will help to loosen up your sinuses as well.

Here’s another way to do this. You can place a bowl of steaming hot water near your lap. Then, place a large towel over yourself and the bowl.

The towel should cover your head and the bowl completely, like a tent. Now, you can breathe in a concentrated dose of steam to clear your sinuses.

These methods are even more effective when you add sinus-clearing essential oils to the water. Menthol and eucalyptus oils are the best for this.

5. Eating Spicy Foods

Our last simple yet effective sinus pain remedy is to eat something very spicy. You may have noticed before that this causes your nose and eyes to leak. That is the draining of your sinuses.
